"Add 1 more item and get your own special deal"

When Nibble is deployed in the cart, and the chance to negotiate is offered as the incentive, Nibble has never failed to increase basket size by at least 50% - and often reduces average discounts dramatically, too.

Nibble can even make product recommendations within the chat, selected from your platform product recommendation engine, to encourage customers to complete their baskets and earn the ability to negotiate.

When Wype (click for full case study), a personal healthcare brand, used Nibble on their cart they increased AOV by 67% while reducing discounts to less than 10% – and added 4.9% to those items' contribution margin.

Deploying Nibble on your cart to increase AOV

Note: If you are on our Starter or Professional plan, you will need to upgrade to Enterprise to create Cart Rules.

1. Create a new Rule in your admin panel and set 'What will Nibble negotiate on?' to 'Cart'.

2. Choose whether Nibble should be available once customers have a certain number of items in their cart, or hit a minimum order value.

3. Set your Discount Threshold and Objective as usual.

Three 'Top Tips':

1. Disable other Nibble Rules if you are offering cart negotiations. Otherwise, customers will negotiate for individual items and then negotiate again on their cart, creating a clunky experience and excessive discounting.

2. Make sure you have selected the option to show signposting in the cart - this creates promotional call to action messaging on your store that encourages customers to add more to their baskets.

3. Contact us via the chat in your admin panel when you have set up the Rule. In a few minutes, we'll check it has been set up correctly and that the buttons and messaging are displaying correctly on your site.
